Seconded.
Having a seperate section for discussions about stuff that is not set in stone yet would be handy.

btw:
-Item repair! Put two damaged items in the crafting grid (arrangement doesn't seem to matter)

source: minecraftforum.net/news/245-last-build-of-19-pre-release-available-now/
I just love the idea!

-Feed passive mobs wheat to make them breed with each other
-Passive mobs follow you when wheat is selected

I sense a lot of actual farming going on in the near future. I love the idea of building a fully functioning ranch.

On mine and misfit's personal server our ranch contains spawners for each animal, the only real "cheat" we have employed there, will be nice to be able to actually coax animals into barns and breed the numbers up.. TO SLAUGHTER THEM mwhahahah.

I did play around with 1.9 some though, thought the nether strongholds were pretty badass looking, mooshrooms are ridiculous looking, and red flowers seem to spawning in as frequently as yellow again!
